Lip Gloss Holder

This Lip Gloss Holder is an inexpensive, easy to make gift when you need just a little something or it would be a great stocking stuffer.  I will post directions tomorrow.

Supplies
Stamp Set:  Mixed Medley (hostess set - 2012 Holiday Catalog)
Card stock: Gumball Green, Real Red, Whisper White, Champagne Glimmer, Red, Glimmer, Snow Festival Designer Series Paper
Ink: Gumball Green
Accessories: Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch, Scallop Border Punch, Velcro Dot

I do wish I could find some thinner Velcro Dots, so that the cover would lay flatter.

Hope you are enjoying the Holidays!

Going, Going, Gone! Friends Never Fade

Over the next few weeks I will feature stamp sets that are retiring. One of my favorites is Friends Never Fade.

This is a double flip card - when you pull the tab it opens the front of the card and a greeting pops up.

They are a little time consuming to make, but worth it for special occasions.   I made several of these for friends birthdays.

Stamp Set:  Friends Never Fade, Itty Bitty Bits

Cardstock:  Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry (retired),Wild Wasabi,  Whisper White

Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, Two Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals,  Punches - Scallop Trim Border, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Round Tab

Watch for more retired stamp sets, but I probably will sneak in a few from the current Occasions Mini, too!

Happy Stamping,
Phyllis Strickland

Stampin' Up Sale-A-Bration Cards - Birthday, Friendship and Easter

I meet every month with two other local Stampin' Up! demonstrators to have fun stamping and to swap cards.  I am a bit late with these because they feature Sale-A-Bration rewards, which will not be available after 3/31/12.  However, I am sure many of you will use your stamp sets long after that and you can substitute other designer paper.

This Friend card was made by Patti Beachy.

Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage
Card stock:  Very Vanilla,  Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede and Calypso Coral
Ink:  Lucky Limeade, Soft Suede
Accessories: Designer Series Paper - Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration reward), Mini Brads, Punches - Scallop Trim, Postage, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Small Oval

The next two cards were made by Kathy Braine.
He is Risen by Kathy Braine

The first card is an Easter card that features the new Stampin' Up! Framelits Label Collection and the Sizzix Lattice Die.  She used a smaller size Framelit to cut out the middle to make the big frame.  The cross was made with the lattice die. She die cut the lattice and then cut away sections to make the cross.
Stamp Set:  He Is Risen
Card stock:Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party
Accessories:  Pearls, Twine - Lucky Limeade, Framelits - Label Collection, Sizzix Lattice Die, Designer Series Paper - Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration reward)

The next lovely card has a vintage feel and features the Sizzlets Paper Doily Die.

Hello Doily by Kathy Braine
She stamped images from Fresh Vintage and Baroque Motifs on Whisper White card stock.  The Hello Doily was stamped on top of those images with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing Paper.  She sponged black ink all over the card stock to make the doily image pop.
She finished off the card with rhinestones and the organdy ribbon. The Framelits Labels Collection dies were used to make the greeting.

If you like the stamp set or designer paper, get it now, it will be gone on March 31, 2012!

I will be back with some cards made with the Tea Shoppe Set and a sneak peek from Summer Smooches, coming to you on April 1.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

My first post!!

I figured out how to edit my profile -- but can I POST? That is the question.

Success! it looks like I can... but I just bought an iMac and haven't uploaded any photos. So I took a picture of my most recent card with Photo Booth, but it is a mirror image. Why?? Exported it to iPhoto to edit but can't find a way to flip.

Well that is a project for another day. I love my new iMac but there is much to learn after using Windows almost daily since 1980.
