Celebrate Today stamp set from Stampin' Up 2015 Occasions Catalog

I made this card for a swap with members of an online demonstrator support group, SUDSOL.  It features the Celebrate Today stamp set with coordinating Balloon Framelits Dies and the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper from the 2015 Occasions Catalog.  I stepped it up with Calypso Coral Pompom Trim and Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim.

I stamped the pennants and stars with gold Encore Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.    I created a sky look with Whisper White Craft Ink that I applied with Sponge Daubers onto Soft Sky cardstock.  I covered most of the cardstock with varying intensities of the ink by "stamping" randomly with the dauber until there was no ink left and repeated that process until the cardstock was almost covered with circles.  The product list is below.

Perfect Pennants stamp set - my swaps for the Baltimore Stampin' Up 2014 Catalog Premier

At last - I am posting the swap cards I made for Baltimore Stampin' Up 2014 Catalog Premier.  I used the  Perfect Pennants Stamp, Banners Framelits and Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper.  I am so sad that paper is now retired, but happy that I have a small stash of it.

Christmas CountDown Frame featuring Stampin' Up 25 and Counting My Digital Studio Download

I didn't have time to post Christmas projects this year, but now is the time to start gifts for Christmas 2014!  I intended to make a number of these, but completed only one.  I made this as the December Gift Swap for the Stampin' Divas.

I bought the frames at IKEA, my favorite place to shop for household items of all kinds.  This is based on a tutorial that was part of my December 2013 subscription at Craft Project Central.  I had to improvise because the binder ring method the designer used was not at all feasible for the frame I chose.  All in all this was a fun but time consuming project as I had to improvise a number of things for one reason or another.

I used the 25 and Counting My Digital Studio Download to print each of the CountDown Days and then featured it on a 2-1/2 x 3-1/2" card.  I added ribbon to the cards to hang them from the "knob" on the Christmas CountDown frame.

I made a little box to hold the cards when they are not in use.

I will post the Count Down cards during the next couple days.

Supplies:
Images:  25 and Counting My Digital Studio Download
Designer Paper:   Season of Style Designer Series Paper (2013 Christmas Catalog, but still available as a download); Designer Series Paper Stack.
Accessories:  Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Foil Paper, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die, Very Vintage Buttons, Basic Rhinestones, Linen Thread, Bakers Twine, various paper punches

Stampin' Up! Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit - a real deal!

Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit (134797) by Stampin' Up!I
(Sorry, somehow this post did not get published so it is out of order.)

I was not impressed when I saw the flyer for this kit, but that all changed when I had an opportunity to use this kit to make samples for a friend's class.  This kit will be on my next Stampin' Up! order, because it is lots of fun and the cards really come alive in real life!  Add the fact that it is a great deal because it includes a terrific greetings stamp set (at least $14.95 value), two ink spots (Basic Gray and Island Indigo) ($2.00 each/$4.00), and a clear acrylic block to hold the stamps ($5.00). Those are conservative $ amounts that total $24.00 for items that can be used over and over.  In reality it costs only $5.95 or less for supplies and you will get more than enough to make 20 cards.  All you need to have on hand is a scissors, adhesive and glue dots. Stampin' Up has made that easy, too, by offering a bundle which includes these necessities - Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit Bundle (137497) which you can see at the end of the post.

This post will show you the kit, and the next post will show the cards I made.  (Actually the one below this)

This is what you get in the Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit. The first photo shows the 5 sheets of die cuts, die cut silver glimmer paper, die cut white card stock, doilies, and some precut printed cardstock for layering. I missed the twine, buttons, Arrow shaped cute clips, and Stampin' Dimensionals - you can see part of that in the upper left corner.
Here are the 20 card bases and the envelopes

The bundle includes the Everyday Cardmaking Kit (135877), Snail adhesive, Mini Glue Dots and Paper Snips
I will be back with the samples! (Actually, they got posted first!!)

Stampin' Up! Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit Sample cards

Here are the cards I promised.  They are made with the Stampin' Up! Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit plus scissors, Mini Glue Dots, and Adhesive.

They look so much prettier in real life.  It really is fun to have a big pile of parts and an idea sheet - all the grunt work is done for you!  This would be a wonderful Christmas present for a crafty friend!

Here is what you need - click on the caption and order it from my store!
