Oh, Hello! stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Sometimes I just do not have enough time to come up with my own design AND I do love to make things from tutorials.  (Probably comes from my former sewing "hobby" - I used to make all my own clothes with Vogue patterns).   My favorite source is Chat Wszelaki at Me, My Stamps who wrote the tutorial for these Oh, Hello! cards.  I used different colors and ribbon, just because I don't like to do it EXACTLY like the tutorial, and because I thought I needed to use up my 2011-2013 In Colors by May 31!!  The good news is that we found out this week that Calypso Coral and Pool Party will be available in the next catalog!  I am so happy because I have been wondering what will I do without Pool Party!

Today I will show you two of the cards I made with an Island Indigo, Pool Party and Calypso Coral color scheme:

This card has a unique fold that I have not seen before, and adds some interest to the card.

Stampin ' Up! Amazing Friend stamp set with the chalkboard technique

This the second project we made on Sunday afternoon.  It features the Amazing Friend stamp set from the 2013 Spring Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Sycamore Street Designer Paper and the Button & Ribbon Pack.  This is the card sample I designed:

And these great cards were made by the participants:

By Kristy Kelly and Sandy Wilt
By Angelina Paese and Stacy Miller
By Stacey Epler and Brenda Kiehl

The chalkboard technique is easy!  Stamp with Versamark ink, emboss with white embossing powder and then heat with your embossing heat gun. The swipe Whisper White Craft ink on the black card stock with a sponge to make it look like a chalk board.

Stamping Supplies:
Stamp Sets:   Amazing Friend (2013 Spring Catalog), Vintage Words (Sale-A-Bration)
Card stock:  Island Indigo, Pool Party, Calypso Coral. Sycamore Street DSP
Ink:  Versamark
Accessories: White Embossing Powder,  Sycamore Street DSP and the Ribbon and Button Pack, Petite Pennant Builders Punch, Calypso Coral Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up Betsy's Blossoms - new Stamp Set

Wow, I have been a bad blogger!  I just haven't had time and energy to do it.  I have lots of things to show you and will try to post them during the next few days.

This card was made with a Betsy's Blossoms, a sneak peek stamp set that will be in the new catalog that begins on Friday, June 1.  I also used 2 of the new 2012-2014 In Colors - Gumball Green, Raspberry Fizz - and the new stitched grosgrain ribbon which also will be available on Friday.

STAMP SETS:  Betsy's Blossoms, Blessings from Heaven

Card stock:  Gumball Green, Whisper White, Raspberry Fizz

Ink:  Raspberry Fizz, Primrose Petals (both are new 2012-2014 In Colors), Daffodil Delight, Versamark

Accessories:  Rhinestone, 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon - Daffodil Delight, White Embossing Powder,  Boho Blossoms Punch, Designer Series Paper Stack - Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight

I "fussy cut"  the biggest flower layer and the Raspberry Fizz Flower.  All the flower layers are attached with dimensionals, and all the layers are attached with dimensionals.

Have fun stampin'!
