A Many Layered Birthday Card - Stampin' Up! Layered Labels and Daydream Medallions

This is my swap card for the Monthly Stampin' Divas Swap.  WE are supposed to do WOW swaps and I sure do hope this qualifies!

There are Stampin' Dimensionals between every layer of the focal pieces, so I used almost the entire package of 300 Dimensionals to make 12 cards...  Yes, I do go through a LOT of Dimensionals.  When I go to the Craft & Hobby Association in Chicago I always check out the card samples, and I notice that many of the really professional looking cards use lots of them.

Thinking of You card - Stampin' Up redo

This is a Stampin' Up redo of a card I saw in "Cards Magazine." I will post the original if I find out it is legal. I made this card design for the SUDSOL swap at Baltimore Regional in October. Here are the deets:

Stamp Sets: En Francais, Printed Petals, Curly Cute
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Old Olive 1-1/4" Wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Antique Brads, Basic Rhinestones
Tools: Scallop Circle Punch, Hole Punch, Thick piercing tool

Make a card base with 5-1/5 x 8-1/2 piece of Early Espresso card stock folded in half.

Cut a 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to use for the next step.

Cut a 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Whisper White and stamp with background stamp "En Francais" using Soft Suede ink. Ink the edges with the stamp pad and use the pad direct to paper here and there. Mount this stamped piece in the center of the Crumb Cake layer.

Tie the wide stripe ribbon with a small piece of string to keep it gathered. Attach it to the center of the layered piece.

Stamp the scalloped image from Printed Petals with Pretty in Pink ink three times on Whisper White and punch out with the Scalloped Circle Punch. Take each piece and scrunch it into a tight little ball and roll it in your fingers until it is crumpled all over. Open the piece, but do not flatten too much, and pierce a hole in the center for the brad.

Pierce a hole in the layered piece approximately 1-5/8" from the top of the piece and centered from side to side. You are piercing through the ribbon and the card layers.

Push the Antique brad through the punched pieces and then through the layered piece. The legs on the brad are not strong so do this carefully or they might break or bend back.

Layer your finished piece on the cardstock base. Ruffle and scrunch the flower layers for a 3D look.
